Design and install a 50kW Sigenergy 3 phase Hybrid Solar System.

I had the absolute pleasure of designing and installing 2 x 25 kW Sigenergy solar inverters in parallel for an Off-Grid system in Johannesburg, complete with Rapid Shut Down on each PV Panel.

 The design covered choosing all the wiring and switchgear based on the Johannesburg Ambient temperatures in peak summer and degrading all switchgear to 80% of maximum current output for that reason.

The ease of configuration and reliability of the Inverters made life easy. The 48-kWh battery backup and emergency generator makes this a very reliable system even when the PV generation is very low for a week at a time.

The interesting aspect of this installation is the owner's daily interaction with the system to manage full use of the Solar no matter how much it is.
